Description
The Orbitrap ID-X Mass Spectrometer ™ Tribrid ™ is an integrated mass spectrometer consisting of the combination of three mass analyzers (quadrupole, a double cell ion trap and the Orbitrap) with dual fragmentation techniques (CID and HCD), coupled to the Vanquish high-resolution liquid chromatograph Flex UHPLC, for very sensitive and ultra-high resolution MSn analysis.
-
Technology
La configuració de l'Orbitrap ID-X conté:
- Vanquish UHPLC system Flex
- Interchangeable HESI / APCI probes: high temperature electrospray interface and chemical ionization interface at atmospheric pressure.
- S-lens ion optics, which efficiently captures and focuses ions in a narrow beam.
- Quadrupol mass filter: selection of MS/MS precursor ions with high efficiency from m/z 50 to 2,000.
- Higher energy collision dissociation (HCD) to obtain fragmented ion spectra with multiple product ion generation.
- Orbitrap mass analyzer with a resolution power of up to 500,000 FWHM at 200 m/z.
- Identification and structural elucidation of known and unknown compounds with the Compound program Discoverer (Thermo Scientific ™ Mass Frontier™).
-
Applications
Scan speed and system resolution are especially useful when working with low-abundance complex samples, and therefore the system has multiple applications:
- Biopharmaceuticals
- Pharmaceutical
- Environmental analysis
- Forensics and anti-doping
- Industrial Applications
- Food security
- Metabolomics
- Glycomics
- Lipidomics
- Exact mass
This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union in the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2017-2020 with an eligible expenditure of 500.000€.
