Cryogenics - Liquid nitrogen tank

• Description

A liquid nitrogen tank (-192ºC) with a capacity of 1250 kg is available in the SRCiT building (N2) on the Sescelades Campus (Tarragona) with two liquid outlets at 3 and 1 bar pressure. There is also another 1150 kg capacity tank in the EURECAT-CTNS building on the Bellisens Campus (Reus) with a liquid outlet at 3 bar pressure.

• User information

Both tanks operate in centralized self-service mode with personalized cards. The user must contact the person in charge to have a card and be able to discharge liquid nitrogen to a dewar . Both tanks have evaporators and pipes to use the gas generated at 3 bar pressure.

• Aplicacions

• All those applications that need to be cooled to cryogenic temperatures.
• All those applications that need N2 gas at 3 bar maximum pressure.
• Maintenance of NMR cryo-magnets.
